Our speaking events are for everyone:

From children to adults — it’s never too early or too late to educate people on the dangers of drug use and the underbelly running Australia’s drug trade. We believe it’s important to open up the conversation around drugs and alcohol and share these real dangers in a safe, supported environment.

Tailoring our presentation to the age group, NDA’s presentation style is widely acknowledged across the country for being unrivalled and at times confronting, and exceptionally invaluable. Our driving message is left through a platform of confidence and strength in enabling the student to say “no”.

Here’s what we’ll discuss

We’ll first explain the dangers and legalities of illicit drugs and prescription drugs. Digging deeper, we’ll explain how using ‘party’ drugs can go very wrong and how drug-affected people can find themselves in seriously dangerous and vulnerable situations. We’ll explore the power of overseas cartels and their direct influence on our national drug trade.

Have you considered how much social media provides an opportunity to access drugs online? Let us show you red flags when someone is using encrypted communications or embracing dark-web technology to order drugs online.

Diving deep into the consequences of illicit drug use, we chat about addiction and the dangers that come with a “just once” experience. We’ll discuss peer pressure, how to say no in a high-pressure environment, how to make the right decisions and stand by them. We will also talk about great ideas regarding safe partying techniques.

What you’ll take away from our speaking events

At our speaking events, we aim for the audience to walk away with a heightened sense of empowerment, pride in their autonomy, and confidence to make powerful decisions. They’ll leave with a stronger understanding of how one decision doesn’t only affect them and have a greater appreciation of the specific dangers relating to illicit and prescription drug misuse.

This presentation raised our awareness and was highly relevant in addressing the fear that parents with teenage children face. Delivered with incredible authority by someone who has walked through this unique and dangerous culture, the stories and anecdotes were both confronting and powerful. Every parent needs to hear and absorb this message.
